Prompt 1: Arrival Your first "day" Vernos Bay - at least, you assume it's daytime. The people are all out and going about their business, walking dogs, driving cars, operating their shops. There's no sunlight, however. No wind, no weather at all. Just this weird twilight, and you, a confused stranger who has no idea where they are or how they got here. Better find someone to help you get acclimated, and fast; people are starting to stare. Prompt 2: Festivus for the Rest of Us A festival seems to have broken out in the streets in honor of one of the gods. As the day wears on, things become rowdier and more jubilant. Join in the fun or hide from the carousing multitudes. Prompt 3: Choose your own adventure! Set up your own prompt for others to tag into! |

Uhm, [hesitates], well, what is the last thing you remember before suddenly being here?
[he tries to remember the same, and... yes, he has appeared here very suddenly. If that was a kidnapping, than it was concerning that he didn't remember being kidnapped at all.]

It’s... rather difficult to explain. But it shouldn’t have been possible for me to be taken against my will.

There always is. Now, here, where have you first appeared, exactly, Princess? Maybe we'll find something there!
no subject
Right here, I believe.
[ She did not go far. ]
oops, I haven't gotten the notif in gmail
[squats down to look for any clues. Science! He even takes out something that could probably maybe someday be a prototype of a microscope from his pocket]
Grass, earth... nothing suspicious so far?
dammit gmail
What’s that?
it very rarely happnes
[his face falls] But it's just not there yet. However, through the science of alchemy, I'm certain to succeed... someday.
Still, there's no signs of, well, anything strange, in this place. And so, we can say with certainly that whatever made us appear here, was very thorough in erasing its signs. Progress!
[smiles a little]

They need not have left any traces to start with. I've seen such technology before, though I don't know exactly how it works.
[ The Ancient Shiekah had a lot of technology that was totally lost 10,000 years later. ]

[someone's a fan]
Please, please, can you tell me anything about it, I mean, Your Highness, please?
no subject
[ She is positively tickled pink, and consequently loses all semblance of royal dignity. ]
Some of the ancient Shiekah technology we uncovered we were able to work, but it seems that much of what remained was truly meant only for the hero chosen by the Sword that Seals the Darkness.
The towers and shrines were able to be activated once he awoke from the Slumber of Restoration, and they contain a technology that seems to interact with the Shiekah Slate in order to transport the carrier to an activated platform of his choice. I found nothing like it in any of the writings we uncovered, but we found so terribly little to begin with...
also idk what is it about her, but somehow he's gonna be honest with her
[wow]
Could, could you show me some of those writings, Your Highness? I've learned how to translate some of the old languages, as an alchemist, I had to, I mean... these might not be the right languages.
But, but all of that sounds so fascinating!
What is the Sword that Seals the Darkness? Could it... I wonder if it could help free
[his face falls, his enthusiasm vanishes suddenly, it's obvious his thoughts are no longer about his old passions. And he whispers] I wonder, if that Sword could free my Dad. I... not that I could count on finding such a Sword...
I bet it’s the huge amounts of mud
My own power is said to have been passed down by the Goddess through her mortal descendants.
[ She holds out her right hand, and the triforce appears as a brilliant light begins to shine from her palm. She closes her fist and both lights fade. ]
But unless your father has been imprisoned by an evil force I don’t think there’s anything Link or I can do.

I wouldn't know, I haven't tried it yet.
no subject
Oh, er, sorry. It's not your fault, I shouldn't, well, yell?
[His shoulders sag.]
no subject
It's quite alright. We are both under rather odd and stressful circumstances.
no subject
Still, I want to help you, too, if I can.
[he's honest there, he just has a lot on his mind]
no subject
[ She doesn't drop the inexpressive mask. She would like to help him... but she really doesn't like being yelled at. ]
no subject
Mhm. Yeah! Yes. Let's try finding out.
[but, wait, how? If there's nothing suspcious here...]
no subject
Perhaps it would be best to start by asking who is in charge of this place.
no subject
Er, yes. You're right! Let's go.
[and he's going... though no, he has no idea where, yet. But Varian often does prefer to act first, sometimes, even if it doesn't always make complete sense. Especially when emotional.]
