TEST DRIVE MEME Prompt 1: Arrival Your first "day" Vernos Bay - at least, you assume it's daytime. The people are all out and going about their business, walking dogs, driving cars, operating their shops. There's no sunlight, however. No wind, no weather at all. Just this weird twilight, and you, a confused stranger who has no idea where they are or how they got here. Better find someone to help you get acclimated, and fast; people are starting to stare. Prompt 2: Festivus for the Rest of Us A festival seems to have broken out in the streets in honor of one of the gods. As the day wears on, things become rowdier and more jubilant. [ It takes Zelda a second to realize he’s talking to her, and then another for her to parse the questions. It was a lot all at once. ]

Ah, I’m Zelda, of Hyrule. This town is called Vernos Bay. And... I haven’t the slightest idea what a police box is. I can’t think of any blue boxes I’ve seen recently, but... what does ‘police’ mean?

Oh well Police. Hmmm. [he tugs his lapels.] That's an interesting question. I suppose for this purpose it means: 'someone who helps'. And I do, generally, help. Though some people would say I interfere.

I don't know what either of those words mean.

[ And she's done a fair amount of research into the history of this world. As to the box being female... maybe it's like a ship? Men are always calling ships 'she'. ]

Well, a physicist is someone who studies physics. The study of the motion of things. For instance, they try to understand why a ball would roll down a slope and what would happen should it hit a train coming in the opposite direction. [he tugs his lapels and thinks]

As for Nuclear-- that is talking about the very nucleus of the cell. The energy center of the cell which is an essential component of everything that exists around you. From yourself to the air you breathe. Unless of course you're anti-matter which is an entirely different branch all together.

[ She growns a little deeper with every additional explanation. she's hear about trains, but doesn't know anything about cells, or anti-matter, or how or why someone would study such things. ]
