Prompt 1: Arrival Your first "day" Vernos Bay - at least, you assume it's daytime. The people are all out and going about their business, walking dogs, driving cars, operating their shops. There's no sunlight, however. No wind, no weather at all. Just this weird twilight, and you, a confused stranger who has no idea where they are or how they got here. Better find someone to help you get acclimated, and fast; people are starting to stare. Prompt 2: Festivus for the Rest of Us A festival seems to have broken out in the streets in honor of one of the gods. As the day wears on, things become rowdier and more jubilant. Join in the fun or hide from the carousing multitudes. Prompt 3: Choose your own adventure! Set up your own prompt for others to tag into! |

Excuse me. Where am I? Who are you? And have you seen a blue police box around? I seem to have misplaced it.
2) [well if there's going to be a festival, he's going to enjoy it no matter where he is! He grabs you around the shoulder, smiling] Have you tried this dandelion wine? It's fabulous! Those are no ordinary dandelions they put in here let me tell you.
3) [wild card! make your own scenario]

Instead, focused on housing and how to get the natives less abrasive when they learned that people weren't from their world. That is, she was until an arm wrapped around her and a voice she was almost as used to as her own (only coming from a TV) declared something about dandelions almost in her ear.
Turning her head to the side where the voice came from she's stunned, wide-eyed, to see the face she would have expected to see with that voice. A face that, to her, is completely fictitious. A face she'd grown up with. With all of his faces in fact.
She wants to scream. She wants to hug him. She wants to scream and hug him and tell him that she should be his next companion and that she'd more than willingly go with him wherever he wants to take her in the TARDIS.]
I, uh, yeah. You'd, have to talk to Dick about that.
[It's hard to talk when you're internally screaming inside and trying not to freak the man draping himself all over you by calling him his name and hugging him.]
no subject
And where can I find this Dick? For that matter, where can I find myself? I seem to have drunken a bit more than is good for me.
no subject
And still, another that is STILL freaking out about the idea of THE Doctor draped over her. It's, kinda awesome. She won't lie to that.]
That would be Vernos Bay, and you were probably kidnapped here. We all were. Or maybe it's more indentured servitude into pho-godhood. It's complicated.
no subject
Well, Vernos Bay it is then. Care to come with me and finger the culprit?
no subject
I would if I could, but sadly, I can't. We don't know who did it. I can offer you a place to stay though. We've got blankets and games and I would love to hear all about what you do when you're not kidnapped into some weird godplace.
no subject
[and as much as he'd like to fill her in, talking about it could be quite tedious. He'd rather show her]
no subject
It might not be here. It's, complicated, but you might not have been brought with it.

Because the last thing I remember before showing up here was holding onto a friend of mine. She didn't come with me, so it stands to reason that what you're looking for might not have come either. A lot of us didn't come with what we had on us.

Felicity Smoak.
[One of your biggest fans.
She holds out her hand instead of saying that.]
Fellow kidnapee.
no subject
[he smiles nevertheless]
So tell me, Felicity Smoak, what do you know about this place?
no subject
Not much. We've all been kidnapped. The residents -
[She points to the ones reveling without worry.]
either don't know anything or won't say anything, and we're apparently expected to take thrones. If we don't then things don't work. Like, plants wouldn't grow until someone took the throne of agriculture.

Maybe defacing a temple, but we sort of need those.
no subject
[because honestly, while he usually wasn't into defacing local religious artifacts, it's not difficult to do something that won't cause long term damage and he also isn't particularly fond of getting kidnapped. To say they had it coming was merely part of the consequences]

Ah, I’m Zelda, of Hyrule. This town is called Vernos Bay. And... I haven’t the slightest idea what a police box is. I can’t think of any blue boxes I’ve seen recently, but... what does ‘police’ mean?
no subject
[he smiles]
The Doctor, pleased to meet you, Zelda of Hyrule. How do you do?
no subject
[ She just wants to be clear. That's a name, not just a profession, right? ]
I am well enough. I have a great deal of work to do, but it's work that needs doing.
[ So she doesn't mind it. In fact, she actively seeks it out. ]
I suppose you're not as well, having lost your... box.
no subject
And wellll yes and no. She'll turn up eventually or I'll find her. I'm not worried. [not that he'll say anyway]
no subject
I don't know what either of those words mean.
[ And she's done a fair amount of research into the history of this world. As to the box being female... maybe it's like a ship? Men are always calling ships 'she'. ]

As for Nuclear-- that is talking about the very nucleus of the cell. The energy center of the cell which is an essential component of everything that exists around you. From yourself to the air you breathe. Unless of course you're anti-matter which is an entirely different branch all together.
Understand?

I... I think so? It's some manner of scholar, isn't it?
